Thing 17 Rollyo

From start to finish, Rollyo was mesmerizing and the hardest part was coming up with a topic to "roll." Since I have been worrying about loosing all these tools, or not revisiting the ones I wanted to spend more time on, I decided to "roll" them! Like the cinnamon rolls, I collected the ingredients, rolled and cut, baked, and frosted. Here's my "roll."

Your blog has become my favorite of all playing! I love the layout and the colors catch my eye then I want to read what you have written. I tried for hours to get my book list published on my blog like you did but failed:(

Glad to hear your positive comments on rollyo - my own was not so stellar, but knowing that other bloggers have found some merit, I will continue on with it!

I love the rollyo you created. I, too, was worried about losing all of this wonderful information!

Sorry about my delay in properly replying via the blog. It has taken me this long to 1. ) Use cocomment correctly and consistently 2.) Realize that responding occurs in the blog post, thus creating a conversation. At some point I need to get back to the rollyo I made and add new things. I may need to divide and make more than one rollyo according to type of resource.

I love the way you write. You put yourself right out there, and I get caught up in your words. I struggle so with knowing how to navigate the databases we are exploring that I was relieved to find the simple Rollyo. And I can really use the specialty lists. I can't remember where I have marked things so having those specialty lists will help me. Keep writing.

I agree that your blog is very eyecatching and interesting. You have really gotten into it! I always have "searcher's block" when I come to an activity that wants me to create a list of things I'm interested in. Rollyo was the same. What do I want to most to be able to revisit? I created a scroll but not too sure how often I would use it. I like the idea of it being a group of sources for students to use when researching.

SRO, I just returned from vacation and saw your comment.
I would definitely create a roll of just the audio resources I have collected. Another would have the graphics, pictures, and video resources. A roll for the mashups would be helpful. Maybe a roll about current discussion on the blogs. Recently is has been the question of whether or not internet reading is "real" reading. Another one might be library standards for several states. For texas I would create a roll of the various ISD library curriculum sites.
